Jigsaw is delighted to announce that Jigsaw Waterford will open its doors to young people from Monday, 31 August.

The opening of this new service is an important step forward for youth mental health in Waterford, giving young people access to Jigsaw’s free, confidential and early intervention mental health support.

This service has been long awaited, and we are delighted to see it become a reality for young people, families and communities across Waterford.

Welcoming the opening of the service, Minister Mary Butler said:

“I am really pleased to see Jigsaw Waterford reach this important stage and begin accepting referrals.

Since securing the funding for this service, I have worked closely with partners to ensure that young people in Waterford have access to high-quality early intervention mental health supports as soon as possible.”

(L to R) Sarah Cullinan, Jigsaw Director of Services; Minister Mary Butler T.D., Government Chief Whip and Minister for Mental Health; Joseph Duffy, Jigsaw CEO.

Referrals are now open

Young people who would like to access support, as well as parents and guardians looking to make a referral on behalf of a young person, can now begin the process through the Jigsaw Waterford page: jigsaw.ie/iewaterford.

The service will initially operate from Buíon Phort Láirge, 64 O’Connell Street, Waterford, while building works are completed at its permanent home on Canada Street in Waterford city.

We look forward to welcoming the first young people through the doors of Jigsaw Waterford and, most importantly, to supporting young people across Waterford into the future.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped make Jigsaw Waterford possible and to all those who have worked to bring this much-needed service to the area.
