Ask Jigsaw: Should I be worried?

Friday, 28 August 2020

I don’t really know what to think if it’s in my head or not but I have started to notice that nothing makes me happy and I can still go about my day doing the things I normally do, should I be worried

Hi Star101,

Thank you for getting in touch with us and sharing your experience.

While sad and unhappy times in life are unavoidable, you also deserve to live a life that is balanced with happiness too.

It’s great you are tuning into how you are feeling. Remember that you know yourself best. It sounds like you recognise that there is a change in your mood, or that something isn’t quite “right”.

Often when we are feeling down, we can find it difficult to find enjoyment from things that previously made us happy. While sad and unhappy times in life are unavoidable, you also deserve to live a life that is balanced with happiness too.

Getting support

It isn’t always clear, so read more about knowing when to get help for your mental health. If you decide you need it, there is lots of support available to help you reach a place where you can enjoy your life more.

There might be a Jigsaw service in your area that you could consider contacting.  Alternatively, you could come onto our Live Chat service which can be useful for chatting about next possible steps.

Reaching out and opening up about this takes courage. Wishing you the very best in figuring out your next steps.

Hazel
