Jigsaw service attendance: Covid-19 guidelines

We are working hard to ensure that our services remain open and accessible to young people. In doing so, Jigsaw services will continue to monitor the ongoing risk from Covid-19, to keep our service users and our staff safe.

We want to share some information with you so that you:

  • Know we are taking all the necessary steps to comply with current public health measures
  • Know what to expect when you come into a Jigsaw service

Before your visit

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of Covid19 – cough, temperature, shortness of breath or loss of smell or taste –or have tested positive for Covid-19, please do not attend the service.

  • Call or email us to let us know and we will either schedule another in-person appointment for you at another time, or make an alternative appointment for you to see your clinician over phone or video.
  • The public health advice for young people who are a close contact of a person who tested positive for COVID-19 varies depending on age and circumstances. If you have been a close contact it is essential that you follow the public health advice: If you are a close contact of COVID-19 – HSE.ie

  • We would ask that you attend your appointments on time. If you are delayed, please give us a call.
  • All persons attending Jigsaw must wear a face mask. Disposable masks are available if you require one.
  • Please let us know when you are at the service and a Jigsaw staff member will welcome you into the service.
  • You, your parent/ guardian (for those under 18) will be asked to sign in.
  • We ask that you observe good respiratory hygiene and etiquette whilst in our service. Tissues and a bin will be provided in session rooms.
  •  If you become unwell during a session, let your clinician know and they will provide you with guidance and support.
  • Jigsaw have a robust cleaning and hygiene protocol in place throughout the service, including regular cleaning and disinfection of all areas contacted by service users and staff (surfaces, materials etc.).

These changes are all in place to reduce the risk of Covid-19 virus transmission. They will be regularly reviewed in line with government and HSE guidance.

If you have any queries about any of the above before you come for an appointment, please call the service. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
