September’s Rolling Gallery

For September, the Jigsaw Dublin City team developed the concept. It shows a young person learning to ride a bike while encouraged by a supportive adult. The young person needs to keep learning, and keep trying, to master riding the bike.

It also says a lot about the role of ‘One Good Adult’ in a young person’s life. The young person learns to balance themselves, with the supportive adult ‘being there’, providing stability when needed.

At some point, the adult may let go of the bike’s saddle. The young person will then ride the bike by themselves as a result of the trusting and supportive relationship.

As Leonardo Da Vinci put it: “Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears and never regrets.”
